Panel Discussion: “The Challenges of Self-Awareness”

Panel Discussion: “The Challenges of Self-Awareness”

Wednesday, May 20, 2026

Join Suffragan Bishop Ron Stephens for an engaging and timely Bible Class focused on Mental Health Awareness, with special attention given to the experiences and challenges of African-American men.

This session, titled “The Challenges of Self-Awareness,” will explore an important question: "What does it take for a Black man to come out of hiding and find mental, emotional, and spiritual healing?"

This meaningful discussion will feature a distinguished panel who will help us better understand the importance of self-awareness, emotional honesty, vulnerability, and healing among Black men.

During this discussion, we will explore several powerful and transformative truths, including the need to confront silence, overcome shame, create safe spaces, name our pain, and embrace vulnerability as a pathway to healing.

Please join us for this important conversation as we seek greater understanding, healing, and wholeness through faith, truth, and community.

We look forward to seeing you!
